Bringing Jesus To The Forefront
Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten Season, falls on February 17th this year. Plan to join us for special mid-week worship each of the six Wednesday evenings during Lent.
Services each week will combine the elements of meditative, reflective prayers, story-telling and contemplative song. Our theme invites us to see the many ways that Jesus is the Answer to God's plan and purpose for us. there will be activities for the kids at these family-friendly services. Stay mindful, too, of our still available pre-service Lenten Soup Suppers which run from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm each week for good food and fellowship. We will be mindul of necessary safety precautions this year.
A Walk With Jesus - Come experience this mini "Stations of the Cross" event right here at St. Paul's. Take a personal walk with Jesus, our King, as He endures seven biblically documented events that led to His crucifixion and, ultimately, His resurrection. This indoor/outdoor, self-guided walk will open from dawn to dusk on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
Maundy Thursday - Come take part in a very unique worship service where you will learn, experience, and taste your way through a Seder Dinner Worship Service. This Jewish tradition of Passover dates back more than 3,500 years and tells the story of redemption of God's people and will tie it's connection to the Last Supper and Holy Communion. Good Friday - Join us for our annual Good Friday Tenebrae Service. The word "tenebrae" comes from the Latin meaning "darkness". A Tenebrae Service is a moving and emotional Good Friday service that makes use of gradually diminishing light through the extinguishing of candles while reflecting on and remembering the "Seven Words From The Cross".
